dillydilly

The goal of this project was to create a subscription company whose brand focused on using packaging materials that could either be recycled, composted, or reused. The secondary packaging had to be cardboard while the primary packaging had to be cardboard, glass, or recyclable plastic.

My Solution

I chose to create a brand that focused on the needs of parents and their babies. I have two sons and I remembered all of the waste that was created in their first few years. I decided to have a company that offered lanolin cream in an compostable container, reusable diapers with liners that could be either flushed or composted, and compostable wipes that were made with natural ingredients.

Pure & Simple

Products used for babies should be simple, with the best ingredients provided by nature. I wanted to create a brand that a customer could easily realize is dedicated to babies and toddlers. There is a lullaby that I have always loved called "Lavender's Blue", the chorus contains the line "dilly dilly". I thought it would be a good brand name because it sounds fun and sweet. For the packaging I wanted to keep everything simple and attractive. I chose to use a minimalist approach so the labels were clean and readable.
